Cooking a fish as tasty as wahoo doesn’t require too much science because the flesh itself is tasty enough to eat it grilled with some salt and pepper, but it does take some skill to cook it without losing its original taste to the other ingredients, so here is a recipe to cook a delicious and well-balanced wahoo. What you’ll need:
5 wahoo steaks
½ tablespoon of paprika
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lime juice
Crushed red pepper to taste
2 garlic cloves
How to cook it:
Place the wahoo steaks on a dish and add salt and pepper to taste, then dice the garlic and whisk together the olive oil and the rest of the ingredients in a bowl. Pour the marinade mix over the fish and make sure they’re completely coated in it, cover the dish with a lid or plastic wrap and let sit in the fridge for an hour.
In the meantime, you can light up the charcoal and prepare the grill. Remember to let the charcoals burn until they start to get white before you grill the fish, otherwise, the grill will be very hot and the fish will burn before it cooks.
Place the steaks directly on the grill for about 7 minutes for each side, remove from grill and serve with the rice or salad of your choice.
